A buddy of mine came up with the idea of driving across country this summer. We live in California, and the current destination is either New York or Washington DC. He has a tent in the back of his pickup, and we figured we could sleep in there. At least one of us can sleep in there and the other can sleep in the cab, and hopefully there will still be plenty of room for our stuff.
We’re going to try to go the whole way by hopping from Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart because they allow people to park in their lots overnight and even for several days at a time. It’ll also be a cheap place to stock up on supplies or grab a McDonald’s burger. We’re going to call it “The Wal-Mart Cross Country Truck Tour,” and maybe we’ll do a blog.
